2009 Summer Conference Program Book Tributes Now Available

What is this? The 2009 Summer Conference Planning Committee is offering individuals affiliate units and organizations the opportunity to pay tribute to those who have inspired and shaped us as individuals, units and organizations. Tributes will appear in the 2009 Summer Conference Program.

How do I/we make a tribute? Write a tribute of up to 50 words long.
Send your tribute and a check for $30.00, payable to ATE, to Dr. Ann C. Shelly, 224 Schar, Ashland University, Ashland, OH 44805. Tributes will be accepted through June 20, 2009.

Sample tributes — The tributes that appear below are actual tributes that appeared in the 2008 ATE Summer Conference Program.
Individual tribute- This tribute is in memory of my father, Robert Lewis Alber, who taught me the importance of education and was a wonderful model for living and teaching.
Affiliate unit tribute — The Michigan Association of Teacher Educators wishes to pay tribute to Mary Anne Adams in her retirement. Her leadership in MATE and ATE continue to inspire MATE members.
Organizational tribute — The Department of Human Development and Child Studies at Oakland University wishes to recognize our 2007-2008 doctoral graduates in Early Childhood Education. They are: Ava Davin, Patricia Griffin, Pam Stotz, and Joanne Teitler.
