Special Issue of Action in Teacher Education: "Teacher Education and the Law"

This special issue will provide high quality articles by well-informed authors to fill a glaring gap in the literature. The firm deadlines for initial outlines and final manuscripts will be October 1, 2007 and March 1, 2008, respectively.
If you are interested in serving as an author or, with one or more identified colleagues as a co-author, of a particular topic specific to the what and how preservice and/or inservice teachers know and should know about legal issues, please email or call Perry Zirkel (tel. 610/758-3239 or perry.zirkel@lehigh.edu) ASAP.
We already have made arrangements for various topics with knowledgeable authors but there is still limited room for additional well-conceived contributions. For example, one topic that is still in need of an author (or co-authors) is an evaluative and integrated review of the published research studies (including dissertations) to date with regard to preservice teacher education and the law, including but not limited to the legal knowledge, attitudes, and practices of preservice teachers.
