A message to all scholars, teachers, teacher educators, and educators in every context:Interested in a collaborative, sustained inquiry with educator colleagues from across the US and beyond? Join us!
In the summer of 2022, the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) will launch the inaugural Inquiry Initiative, a collaborative exploration of “opportunity gaps” in education. All ATE members--but not just ATE members--are welcome to apply to participate. We anticipate that the broadest range of educators--independent and affiliated with other associations, institutions, and agencies--will join us. The goal is for ATE to facilitate a three-year-long local, national, and international consideration of this important topic.
The inaugural Inquiry Initiative will run parallel to the ATE Nashville 2022 Summer Conference. Follow-up events will occur during the next three years at and between ATE’s annual meetings and summer conferences. The summer 2022 launch will be face-to-face; subsequent meetings will be a combination of face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual formats to allow the greatest access and broadest participation. Events will be collegial, research- and practice-focused, and intended to challenge our thinking, renew our educator spirits, and result in authentic products that push the boundaries of scholarly outcomes.
