The Science Education SIG promotes the preparation of science teachers for all levels. Papers dealing with contemporary practices in preparing science teachers are presented each year at the National Meeting of ATE.

About us:

The ATE Science Educators SIG brings together science teacher educators, classroom experts, discipline specialists, educational researchers, and policymakers concerned with promoting science teacher education and research on science teaching and learning. The Science Educator SIG provides a forum for interdisciplinary interaction among science teacher educators and stakeholders, facilitates communication and provides opportunities to discuss and take action on matters of common interest and concern.

Membership:

All interested stakeholders are invited to the SIG meetings at ATE conferences. Contact the chair or co-chair for more information on collaborative efforts of SIG members.

Current special activities:

Interest groups for doing research and co-author papers are looking for participants 

Interest groups for grant writing and cross-state collaboration and grant initiatives are formed
