Educational Programs & PlanningThe Educational Programs and Planning Committee is responsible for overseeing and advancing the Association’s programs, services, and strategic initiatives that support its community, including areas related to recognition, inquiry, member engagement, and professional publications.

Becky Fredrickson, Chair (2025-26) Lori Fulton and Elizabeth Jakubowski, Board Liaisons (2025-26) MEMBERS Vicki Thrailkill Pheil (2025-26), Ruth Best (2025-26), Marjori Krebs (2025-26), Karen Potter (2025-27) and Janet Lear (2025-28) Public AffairsThe Public Affairs Committee reviews all state and federal policy priorities for the Association and assists the national office and Board of Directors in maintaining a positive relationship with state legislatures and education entities, the United States Congress, and other governmental entities which affect educator preparation and the ability of the Association to carry out its mission. The committee is also charged with enhancing the public image and goals of the Association and raising awareness of policy decisions that impact the organization’s membership.
Ashlie Jack, Chair (2025-27) Tom Conway and Aiyana Henry, Board Liaison (2025-26) MEMBERS Greer Richardson (2025-26), Jacquelynn Pleis (2025-26), Caitlin Riegel (2025-27), Jackie Cusimano (2025-27), Rebecca Harris (2025-28) and Lijun Jin (2025-28) Fiscal AffairsThe Fiscal Affairs Committee works with ATE's CEO, Treasurer and the Board of Directors to develop a process and format for reporting fiscal matters, and works as a liaison with the Board of Directors to review the budget as prepared by the CEO. The Committee serves as a channel for considering fiscal information from the general membership, standing committees, and Delegate Assembly. The committee provides the Delegate Assembly with a yearly status report of the fiscal affairs of the Association and considers additional fiscal matters as they are identified.

membership at-large for the offices to be filled; verifies the eligibility of all prospective nominees; prepares a slate consisting of a minimum of two qualified nominees for each office to be filled.
